Nepal is one of the poorest and least developed countries in the world. Okhle is a small village situated in the Mahabharat or Middle Hills of Northern Nepal, to the north west of Kathmandu. I visited there with Rickard Backwell of the Okhle Village Trust to help the progress of some water projects, as well as to visit some schools in the area. What I came across were the happiest people I had ever met. They live a completely sustainable life, very different to the consumerist culture commonly associated with the west. It was amazing, emotional and inspiring. This is a piece of multimedia I put together to that compiles the photographs I made during the trip.
